Back-to-School Firmware Update™
A satirical fake advertisement for a school-system firmware update that promises restored routines, attendance synchronization, smoother hallway transitions, and automatic redirection of quick questions. Installation still requires staff training, three passwords, a charged projector, one committee, and a human willing to reboot the system.
Now with improved attendance, seamless transitions, and a “ready” light that has not been tested with actual children.

Firmware Update™
Because last year’s settings were not technically illegal.

Restores hallway expectations before anyone can say “we never did that last year.”
Recognizes that a student can be physically present and spiritually in the parking lot.
Moves 800 people between rooms with only 14 bottlenecks and one mysterious whistle.
Redirects “quick questions” to the person who owns the answer.
Back-to-School Firmware Update™ requires staff training, three passwords, a fully charged projector, one committee, and a human being willing to reboot the system. Not compatible with reasonable lunch lengths, surprise fire drills, or the phrase “I’ll be back” used as a pass.
